The Victorian Premier has just finished announcing the end to the 'circuit-breaker lockdown', however there will still be some restrictions on public gatherings through to Friday Feb. 26th. (and possibly beyond)This means that we must cancel our February gathering at Monash Youth Centre Hall.
We will still hold our February gathering ONLINE from 7:30pm Tuesday 23rd February on Zoom, joining with CSSSA & kicking off with a talk from Guillermo Rivera at 8pm. Details about joining the gathering via Zoom have been previously emailed out, and though we won't be able to enjoy seeing each other in person again just yet we're glad to still have a gathering of sorts to proceed with!
We hope to see you on Zoom, and again in person just as soon as the situation permits.
Regards,
- CSSA Committee"
About Us
Our Society is a fun and friendly organisation that prides itself on having members from all walks of life and of all ages, whether a botanist or home gardener. We have a lot to offer.
The Society holds monthly meetings where members have the opportunity to view expert growers’ collections and seek their professional advice. Or perhaps just join to receive our fantastic full colour journal as many people do.
The CSSA’s Cacti & Succulents Show is an annual Spring event, consisting of a large display area with decorative and rare plants. This is complemented by unrivalled plant competitions as well as sales of specialised books and plants.
The Society also aims to advance the understanding and appreciation of cacti and succulents worldwide. Through education and scientific study we encourage conservation through cultivation.
The Cactus and Succulent Society of Australia Inc (CSSA) is the oldest Cactus and Succulent Society in Australia, established in Melbourne in 1927. Similar societies are located Australia wide, in most capital cities and some country areas (see links page for more).
