Last year CSSA held its first Show for at least 12 years. It was an outstanding success and all involved (Society members and visitors) decided that we just had have another Spring Show in 2005.
This year we held our Show at the Camberwell Scouts Hall, not quite as convenient for passing traffic as our regular Meeting Hall, but with much more space, so that exhibitors, competitors and plant sellers could all be comfortably fitted in.
Not surprisingly, on Friday night it looked it might be a disaster, but early next morning, along with the rain, loads of competition, display and sales plants arrived, and by the time our judges Maureen Lucas (Novices) and Wayne Robinson (Open) started judging at nine o'clock the hall was virtually overflowing with plants.

The early Melbourne drizzle fortunately
stopped by ten, when the first visitors arrived. They showed their
appreciation by admiring the competition plants and spending many
thousands of dollars on plants. The same happened on the Sunday.
It's
not possible to thank everybody individually, but special thanks must
go to Victor Aprozeanu for organizing the show, Noelene Tomlinson for
her work in publicising it, to our judges, Wayne Robinson and Maureen
Lucas and to all those who entered their competition and display plants.
